1:45-2:15 Blessing of the Crops at the Capitol Rotunda (Directions)

1:30 – 5:30 Celebration to be held at the John Shildneck Band Shell at Antelope Park

Bring some food, bring a drum, and enjoy the day. We will be honoring the Wheel of the Year with Nebraska’s First Annual Earth Religion Awareness Day. Nebraska is a state tied to the Earth. Much of our prosperity is dependent upon her bounty. Corn, Soy Beans, Beef, & Pork. Join in the celebration for a bountiful harvest and prosperous year! Information on Earth Based Spirituality will be available. All area groups are encouraged to provide fliers about thier groups and what they are up to. This is a great chance for the public to see that we do exist, that we care, vote, and foremost, know how to party! The Summer Solstice in Nebraska may never be the same!

We are in the process of contacting a couple bands to play. Participants are encouraged to bring their own drums and other noise makers for a drumming circle at the end of the celebration (probably at 5:00).

Activities:

Bands! - We have lined two great local bands and a bagpiper. The bands are the McNeeLees and Jumping Kate and the Love Mafia. A heartfelt thanks goes out in advance to all these folks for supporting our day of celebration, and religious freedom!
