Have the altar set up as usual. In addition:
The HPS or her chosen agent will pass out birthday candles to be heldduring the meditation.
Corn on the Stalk. Metaphor for our successes of the past year.
When we begin our chant, one by one folks can approach the center altar. First, take a ladle of water and pour it over the corn queen. This isto ensure that next seasons growth will be bountiful.
Once you have poured water on the Queen, light your candle from the centercandle and take it to the quarter which best represents your harvest thisyear. If it has been a physical harvest, take it to the North and givethanks, if it is intellectual, take it to the East, if creative, take itto the South and give thanks, and if it is of an emotional nature, takeit to the West. Give thanks to the gathered spirits, or whoever is appropriateto you, and place the candle in the sand.
Chant:
Chant and drum while circling the altar raising energy. When everyoneis done with candles, go round the circle, raising hands slowly with theenergy, visualizing it flowing upwards in a cone. Send the energy off.
Have fun!
